Terms and Conditions

As part of the registration process on this platform, you will furnish IQ Business (Pty) Ltd and/or its subsidiary companies (“IQbusiness”) with Personal Information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013, as amended from time to time, including any Regulations issued in terms of that Act (‘POPIA’).

By submitting any Personal Information to IQbusiness in any form, you hereby acknowledge that such conduct constitutes a reasonable unconditional, specific, and voluntary consent to the processing of such Personal Information by IQbusiness and/or verification information suppliers and you furthermore authorise IQbusiness to use, review, collect, process, store and distribute any relevant Personal Information provided to IQbusiness via this website as well as any information that you have provided in support thereof.

You warrant that all information, including Personal Information, supplied by you to IQbusiness is accurate and current.

IQbusiness may pass your Personal Information on to third parties employed by IQbusiness, but those third parties will only use that data for services provided to IQbusiness and they will treat the data as confidential.

The Personal Information furnished may also be shared by IQbusiness with its clients for the purposes of a continued or new business engagement or for other lawful purposes.

IQbusiness will only transfer your Personal Information to third parties in another country in any one or more of the following circumstances:

  1. Your Personal Information will be adequately protected under the other country’s laws, or an agreement with the third-party recipient; or
  2. Where the transfer is necessary to enter into, or perform, under a contract with yourself, or a contract with a third party that is in your interest; or
  3. Where you have consented to the transfer; or
  4. Where it is not reasonably practical to obtain consent, and the country to which the information is transferred does not have applicable laws, IQbusiness will ensure that said third party would at the least, apply security safeguards that IQbusiness would itself apply to secure your Personal Information.
Declaration in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("the POPI Act")
  1. IQbusiness will process the personal information provided on this platform strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Act.
  2. IQbusiness will process your information solely for the purposes the information was furnished to IQbusiness
  3. IQbusiness will comply with the security and information protection obligations imposed on it in terms of the Act.
  4. IQbusiness will comply with the retention obligations imposed on it in terms of the Act.
  5. If you require access to any of your personal information held by IQbusiness, you may direct such request to by IQbusiness at [email protected]  
  6. If you believe that IQbusiness has used your personal information contrary to the Act, you may submit a complaint to the Information Regulator at https://www.justice.gov.za/inforeg or [email protected]

Consenting to these Terms and Conditions constitutes consent by you to the processing of your personal information by IQbusiness in terms of the Act and for the specific purpose for which the personal information was provided. Over and above the terms outlined above, by consenting to these Terms and Conditions, you also consent to the following:

  1.  The use of your personal information collected through this website;
  2. Retention of your CV and details by IQbusiness for future opportunities should your application be unsuccessful;
  3. Sharing his/her info with to external agencies employed by IQbusiness to assist in screening and interviewing prospective employee;
  4. Being contacted by IQbusiness should a future opportunity arise in the event that your application is unsuccessful; and
  5. Furnishing of your CV to clients prior to your appointment to assess suitability for the purposes of a continued or new business engagement or for other lawful purposes.

Please be aware that should you wish to object to the processing of your personal information, IQbusiness may not be able to continue with your application.

Should you wish to gain further understanding on how IQbusiness shall adhere to the provisions of the Act including your rights with respect to the processing of your personal information, the IQbusiness Privacy Statement will be made available to you upon request.
